It’s the first set of identical triplets I’ve ever seen. I’ve been in neonatology for 40 years,” Dr. Savitri Kumar of Detroit’s Henry Ford hospital told Michigan’s WXYZ.<br /><br />What’s even more incredible? There’s no history of triplets in Lauren and Mike’s families. The couple, who lives in Michigan, also conceived Alexander, Nicholas and Timothy naturally, unlike thousands of couples who get pregnant via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) each year.<br /><br />“It was really early on in the pregnancy, we found out at just a routine ultrasound. She said, ‘I see three.’ I said, ‘What?!’ ” Lauren said.<br /><br />The tots spent about a month in the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU) before Lauren and Mike brought them home.
