You Know Onions Are Good For You, But No One Ever Told You Onions Could Do These Miraculous Things!

Onions are easy to grow, easy to buy, easy to store at home and are not just good for cooking.  They are the most astonishing vegetables that can help you fight diseases and boost your immune system.
The onion is fill of sulphur which has antibiotic qualities, antiseptic qualities and is filled with antioxidants. Quercetin is found in onions and this is an anti-oxidant that protects health and frees the body from toxins.
Onions can be eaten raw, made into a juice, a soup or a tea.
Onions are good for
  • Treating arthritis
  • Containing cholesterol
  • Clearing sinus
  • Treating cardiovascular disease
  • Controlling diabetes
  • Ear infections
  • Colic
  • Chest infections
Here are a few recipes, some of which come from generations ago, all working wonders.
Fever
Peel and chop an onion into small pieces then mix with coconut oil.  Apply the concoction to the bottom of your feet, put socks on and keep your feet on.  This will remove toxins from your body and eliminate fever.Cough
Peel a large onion and chop it in halves.  Pour a tablespoon of brown sugar on each half and leave it for an hour.  Eat bits of this concoction and watch your cough disappear.
Colic
Put water in a pot and bring to the boil.  Add slices of onion to the water and leave it to simmer for half an hour.  Let it cool down and then pour through a sieve.  Give your baby a teaspoon of the mixture every hour or until the symptoms of colic disappear.
Earache or ear infections
Peel and slice an onion and put it into a small sock.  Place over the affected area and secure with a bandage or perhaps a hat.  Leave on until the pain subsides.  Repeat as necessary.
Cuts
You can use the transparent skin from an onion to stop bleeding.  Place the skin directly on to pof the cut.  The skin also has antiseptic benefits that protect the skin.
Easing congestion
Peel an onion, chop it into small pieces and blend with coconut oil to form a paste.
Smear the paste on to the chest and secure with a towel around it.  Keep it warm.
Leave on until dry then wash off with warm water.  Repeat as necessary.
Vomiting
Peel an onion, chop it and then squeeze or crush the juice out of an onion through a cheesecloth or similar.  Mix the onion juice with some peppermint tea and drink two teaspoons at a time.  Repeat every 10 minutes and your nausea will disappear.You can also use onion for
  • Clean and polish silverware.
  • Clean a steam iron.
  • Prevent insect bites by rubbing into the skin.
  • Rub onion into the hair to accelerate hair growth.
  • Boil and spray onion juice to protect plants from pests.
  • Rub onion on to skin to prevent freckles.
Research the onion, there are so many uses for this vegetable and it costs next to nothing!
