Hot and Cold Compresses

Hot and cold compresses can be also beneficial for soothing the joint pain. By alternating the two compressed, the heat will decrease pain and increase blood flow, while the cold compress will lower inflammation.



All you should do is wrap hot and cold compresses in separate towels. First, apply the hot compress and leave it for 3 minutes. Then, apply the cold compress to the same area for 1 minute. You should repeat this treatment several times a day.

Fenugreek

All you should do is swallow 1 teaspoon of finely ground fenugreek seeds and drink a glass of lukewarm water immediately after. You should try this method in the morning on a daily basis.

Turmeric

Due to its active compound called curcumin, turmeric is rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Turmeric is very beneficial for joint pain. You should combine 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and a little honey in a glass of warm milk. Consume it on a daily basis for a couple of days. Moreover, you can also try turmeric tea.

Cayenne

The capsaicin compound in cayenne pepper provides pain-relieving and analgesic properties, which alleviate pain. In order to use cayenne pepper for joint pain and gout, heat ½ cup of coconut oil and add 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper powder to it. Apply this mixture on the affected area, leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off.
