Get Rid of Cold Sores Using One Ingredient from Your Kitchen (RECIPE)

Cold sores or fever blisters occur when the body is infected with herpes simplex virus (HSV). They are small itchy blisters that normally appear around the outside of your lips or mouth. Though rarely, these can also occur on your nose or cheeks. A person can have the virus without knowing it, at least not until a cold sore appears on the corner of their mouth. Studies have shown that as many as two-thirds of the world’s population under 50 is infected with HSV.

This virus can never be defeated, which means once you get infected, you have it for life. People normally contract it through small cracks in the skin.
If you have the virus, cold sores can develop due to a number of reasons. Some of these include:

Stress, both emotional and physical
Colds or other respiratory infections
Sun or wind exposure without protection
Hormone changes such as during menstruation
This virus is highly contagious, so avoiding direct contact with other people during the incubation period (when the blisters are developing) is highly recommended. Also, you should avoid touching your eyes or genital area unless you have first washed your hands thoroughly. Oral sex can transmit the infection so it’s best avoided during this period.

Cold sores normally last for a week. Although generally painless, they can give a stinging sensation and even form a yellow crust.

Aside from some over-the-counter medications, this home remedy is extremely beneficial for treating cold sores as it not only eases the discomfort assocoated with this condition, but also accelerates the healing process.
